The Jums are Coming

msingh, torn clothes, ragged look, haunted face,
sins exposed, running in fear to escape, quickning pace,
the jums are coming, the jums are coming, fear of pain,
if only past unholy demons could all be slain!

wilful, self-conceited, lost in maya, that was you,
no time for sewa, self-serving through and through,
the jums are coming, the jums are coming, fear of pain,
if only past unholy demons could all be slain!

losing your head, in wanton lust and greed did you revel,
the sins cannot be erased, face this now on the level,
the jums are coming, the jums are coming, fear of pain,
if only past unholy demons could all be slain!

face drawn, no tears left to flow, trembling with fear so,
imminent dharamraj's verdict, sinful body, where to go?
the jums are coming, the jums are coming, fear of pain,
if only past unholy demons could all be slain!

too late, lashes reign aplenty, streaks of blood, sharp pain
should have heeded earlier, now whipped again and again,
the jums are coming, the jums are coming, fear of pain,
if only past unholy demons could all be slain!

thrusting red hot poker, hair pulled and ripping skin,
now screaming with pain, lacerated body full of sin,
the jums are coming, the jums are coming, fear of pain,
if only past unholy demons could all be slain!

justice served, balance restored, under karma's role,
pray dear cybersangat for msingh's early parole,
the jums are coming, the jums are coming, fear of pain,
if only past unholy demons could all be slain

Cease the recital of things forbidden for my conscience is a
tribunal that will judge me with justice. IIt will guard me from punishment if I am innocent and withhold from me favor when I am guilty.

I cannot understand why
the tiny
beautiful stars
fade into the molten gold of sun
they betray their self
I cannnot understand why
the pearly
ethereal dew
creeps into the warm embrace of breeze
It annihilates itself
I cannnot understand why
the pure
undualting river
drown itslef into the ocean
it loses itself

Much of your pain is self chosen. It is bitter portion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity.
For his hand, though heavy and hard is guided by the tender hand of the Unseen
and the cup he brings, though it burn your lipss has been fashioned of the clay which the potter has moistened with his own sacred tears.

"...my conscience is a tribunal that will judge me..."

Indeed, hence the saying "you have to live with your conscience"

All things that are must pass, that is the nature of things, this is what you have to understand.

"...trust the physician, and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity..."

But what of the wretched ego that rears its head, casting doubt in your mind?

"If I may be allowed to say, I think you are sometimes too hard on yourself, why not just chill out just like I do"

anonyomous ji...

maybe it is the fate of the stars, the dew and the river to lose themselves. Maybe it's our fate to lose ourselves in something bigger too...

hmnnnn maybe I should start working on that again.

Okay. Disappearing again but MS veer ji... remember you gotta keep... (",)ing

Indeed Satvinder ji, I could use it too, but some things are so deeply ingrained in the physche....

Fly's too good, she was suggesting to me why not try and get some guest posts on her blog form bloggers such as you (and maybe even the geezer she calls 'Tia ji').

lol... I'm honoured. Oh dear that means i have to think of a subject worthy of Fly baby's blog space. Will try... give me a few days.

Sat Bhenji is right - you are almost always too hard on yourself.

Sat Sri Akal MSingh ji!
It's been a long time...I'm sorry we lost touch.

But coming back to your blog is like coming home to my own fears ingrained deep within my heart. It is painful to share, it is even more harder to feel the guilt of knowing the remedy, yet not taking the medicine...but whatever medicine I have found, I will go by anonymous and "and drink his remedy in silence and tranquillity."

You have a gift of great expression and I will make it a point to not miss out on it. May Waheguru bless you with faith in Him and in your own goodness. You are a blessed one :) So keep smiling :)

sikh seeker, many indeed are in the same boat that you describe; I for one am guilty of not taking the medicine, entangled in the web of maya as I am.

Thank you for your kind comments, and I'm sure the remedy you mention will take you to the next stage on your journey.

This and this might help while you are in the silent tranquil mode.
